Ayu Aboalata says:

“The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.”
— The Messenger (Peace Be Upon Him)

And, peace be upon you all.

My name is Ayu Aboalata, and I’m truly honored to join the board and support Kokeb’s mission to ensure that all children — regardless of ability or circumstance — have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

My professional background is in technology supporting public sector and tribal government operations, where I focus on building systems that improve access, transparency, and equity in community services. That experience has shown me how deeply policy, advocacy, and partnershipscan transform lives — especially when children’s well-being and education are placed at the center.

I am also a mother of three, including one compassionate, intelligent, and neurodivergent child who has taught me so much about patience, inclusion, and serving beyond ourselves. This personal journey deepened my commitment to inclusive education, early childhood development, and child-centered approaches that meet each child where they are.

My given name, Ayu Pertiwi, means “Beautiful Earth” — a reflection of my roots and a lifelong hope to help make the world a better place. Guided by my Islamic faith and Asian values of gotong royong (community cooperation) and rahmah (compassion), I believe in lifting others through service, empathy, and unity.

I’m excited to collaborate with all of you to strengthen our efforts in policy and advocacy, partnership development, and supporting children’s health and economic well-being. Through shared compassion, we can nurture communities where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated."
